Under former President Joe Biden’s management, Pentagon officials were instructed on Tuesday to carry a” complete review” of the U.S. government’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.

Hegseth wrote in a memo sent to top Pentagon officials on Tuesday that” President Biden’s leadership led a chaotic departure of US defense and military officials from Afghanistan, which resulted in the deaths of 13 US Service members and 170 civilians in a murder bombing at the Kabul International Airport’s Abbey Gate.” What transpired during our defense departure from Afghanistan has been fully disclosed by President Trump and I in writing.

Hegseth stated that the Pentagon has an “obligation” to “get to the information” about the U.S. government’s fatal departure from Afghanistan under the Biden-Harris management. The Secretary of Defense referred to the review of the circumstances surrounding the failed withdrawal from Afghanistan as an “important stage” in the Trump administration’s efforts to restore the trust of the American people and those who serve in the military.

The Department has been engaged in a review of this fatal event in the history of our military over the past three times,” Hegseth said. I’ve come to the conclusion that a thorough examination is necessary to ensure that the British people are held accountable for this celebration and that the full picture is provided.

Hegseth stated that he is directing Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs Sean Parnell to set up a Special Review Panel for the Pentagon to “roughly study past investigations”, including “findings of truth, resources, witnesses,” and “analyze the decision-making that led to one of America’s saddest and deadliest global moments.”

Hegseth continued,” This team will guarantee ACCOUNTABILITY for the American people and our great nation’s warfighters.”

The ISIS-K member who was the” top terrorist” responsible for the tragic Abbey Gate bombing at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, was detained and transported to the United States, according to President Donald Trump earlier this year, and is currently awaiting arrest.

Trump stated to reporters in February that if he were in Hegseth’s shoes, he “would fire every single one of them” if he were in charge of the Pentagon’s actions against the military leaders responsible for the withdrawal of Afghanistan.
