Harvard can't enroll international students, existing foreign students must take transfer
If the Trump administration wants to enroll international students, Harvard University has 72 days to comply with their needs.

The Donald Trump administration on Thursday forbade Harvard University from enrolling foreign pupils, citing the privilege of hiring non-immigrant students on campus and the hiring of international students. Kristi Noem, the department’s director of homeland security, sent a hard-hitting notice to the university, stating that the action may not surprise the university authorities because it was expected and that the university had to follow the administration’s instructions. The letter warned that” outcomes must be followed in order to give a clear message to Harvard and all institutions that want to enjoy the privilege of enrolling international students that the Trump Administration will uphold the law and eradicate the horrors of anti-Americanism and hatred in society and schools.” Noem claimed that Harvard must abide by the Trumpa leadership within 72 hours if it wants to continue enrolling international students.

What does Harvard’s ban on the Kids ‘ and Exchange Visitor Program think?

For the 2025-2026 academic year, Harvard cannot accept any foreign students with F or J non-immigrant position. The letter stated that” this decertification even means that current creatures with F- or J-nonimmigrant status may transfer to another school in order to keep their nonimmigrant position.”

What did the Trump administration ask for from the school in its 72-hour order to comply with?

    1. Any audio or video that a non-immigrant student may have made of any illegal or violent exercise on or off school was sought by the administration. A formal document may do, too.
    2. A non-immigrant student has made any threats to other students or school staff on or off campus during the previous five years.
    3. Any evidence of nonresident students privying another classmates or university personnel of their rights.
    4. All non-immigrant student administrative data, as well as video of any protests.
    5. These data all pertain to individuals who haven’t been immigrants for five years.

Kristi Noem wrote in her notice that if Harvard had given full and accurate answers, she would have withdraw the “privilege” to engage international students.
