
On Thursday, a California district judge ordered the Trump administration to revoke the legal standing of foreign students.
With exceptions for those who have been found guilty of a violent violence and had received a jail sentence of at least a year, District Judge Jeffrey White ordered the government to stop issuing arrest warrants for foreign students somewhere until the case is resolved.
In April, President Donald Trump’s repatriation work led to the passage of the statewide injunction following the legitimate action brought by nearly two dozen students ‘ lawyers after Immigration and Customs Enforcement terminated their legal status and that of dozens of other international students.
Lawyers for the U.S. government have argued that such legal protections are insufficient, citing the restoration of the visa, but White argued that the students ‘ records had prevented them from changing or receiving a new card, and that they had “wreaked havoc” on the lives of those who were granted such visas.

After receiving the names of defendants who had been detained on suspicion of participating in pro-Palestinian demonstrations, the Department of Homeland Security announced that students ‘ permits had been canceled. Although the Trump administration claims it was acting in accordance with the Immigration and Nationality Act, these students may have been charged with having the fees dropped or not charged.  ,
The Trump administration’s decision on Thursday to forbid foreign students from attending Harvard University comes as a result. To retain their status as nonimmigrant, international students who attend the school must move to other universities.  ,
