    According to Doctors Without Borders ( MSF), South Sudanese refugees in Ethiopia are facing a “health catastrophe” in Ethiopia, which includes cases of severe acute malnourishment and cholera epidemic. Between 2013 and 2018, a violent civil war that cost around 400, 000 lives in South Sudan, the youngest nation in the world since gaining its independence from Sudan in 2011, sparked by the country’s freedom. A power-sharing partnership between the conflicting parties gave the unstable atmosphere a sour sigh of relief, but violent conflicts have erupted between forces loyal to Salva Kiir’s and his long-ago First Vice President Riek Machar, who was placed under house arrest in March. Between 35, 000 and 85, 000 South Sudanese refugees have emigrated to Mattar, an African city close to the South Sudanese border, according to MSF. It added that” with the rise of waterborne diseases like cholera and acute watery diarrhea, the risk of a health crisis is imminent.” According to MSF, it had treated about 1,200 people with typhoid, a condition that can be fatal in 10 to 20 % of cases. Nearly 7 percent of children under five have signs of severe acute malnutrition, according to MSF, and over 40 % of malaria rapid diagnostic tests have returned good. According to armed conflicts between” the South Sudanese troops and an opposition party” along the frontier, the NGO even announced that it had moved its health service from the African border town of Burbeiye to the more remote Mattar. More than 200 people have been treated for “war injury” in Burbeiye since the battle started in February, according to it. In order to “assure a healthy charitable space and protect civilians and aid workers alike,” MSF urged the different parties involved in the conflict to work together, and it also urged foreign donors to increase aid, especially in Mattar, where people who have fled tragic violence are in desperate need of shelter, water, and health care.
