The administration’s potential additional measures come as it cracks down on immigration, including revoke student visa during deportations.

The State Department is directing U.S. judicial and offices to halt new interviews for applicants seeking student visas. Consular sections should not add any additional student or exchange visitor ( F, M, and J) appointment capacity until further guidance is issued, according to the cable, which was obtained by Politico.

Tammy Bruce, a spokesperson for the State Department, declined to comment on whether pupils may be concerned about having their permits processed on time.

” We take the process of screening who it is that enters the country very severely. And we’ll keep doing that. We’re going to keep vetting and keeping an attention going. We’re going to be looking at you, regardless of whether they’re a learner or a visitor who needs a card, or whoever you are, she said in a presentation.

She added that she is unsure of the significance of the” controversial.”

Every country should take seriously, and does, who is entering, she said, because it seems like quite a contentious issue is occurring.

According to Politico, the cord alludes to executive purchases intended to keep out terrorists and combat racism, but does not specify what the upcoming social media vetting would look for.

For its imprisonment initiatives aimed at pro-Palestinian activists, such as Columbia’s Mahmoud Khalil, the Trump administration has sparked a lot of discussion. Rumeysa Ozturk, a scholar at Tufts University, co-wrote a pro-Palestinian op-ed that was widely circulated and detained in a suburb of Boston.

Depends: WHAT IS IT? WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT THE MINISTRIE OF GOVERNMENT EFFICIENCY

In a statement to Politico, the NAFSA: Association of International Educators denounced the selection.

CEO Fanta Well remarked,” The notion that the diplomats have the time, the ability, and tax dollars are being spent this way is pretty problematic.” International individuals do not pose a threat to the nation. They are, in fact, a tremendous benefit to this nation.
