After losing his place as deputy leader of the ruling PKR to the prime minister’s girl in a group surveys, Malaysia’s economy minister announced on Wednesday that he was stepping down from his cupboard placement. Rafizi Ramli, who referred to his Women’s Justice Party in a speech, said,” My defeat in the new PKR party election means I no longer had the authority from my group to turn the person’s plan, championed by PKR,” into government policy. Leaders of the party, led by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, and Nurul Izzah Anwar’s child Nurul Izzah Anwar, won the post of deputy president last year with tight to 10, 000 seats, while Rafizi received about 4, 000. Rafizi announced earlier this month that he would move down from the government if he lost his party location. He stated on Wednesday that his departure had become effective on June 17. Rafizi and Nurul Izzah faced off in a heated debate, with some calling for corruption and raising questions about the possibility of a father-daughter duo as party boss. The primary minister has, however, rejected any ideas of corruption or wrong. Nurul Izzah has a background in politics, having first gained notoriety when her papa was imprisoned in the late 1990s. She won reputation for her ardent support of democratic transformation as a three-term MP.
