According to a military record that was cited by AFP, six soldiers were killed and two people were hurt in Mexico’s violence-hit Michoacan condition when an incendiary device tore through their armored vehicle. The fire took place later on Tuesday near a small city in the northern region, where medicine cartels have huge battled for territory. The military aircraft carrying the soldiers was completely destroyed by the explosion’s power. According to the report, helicopters and military aircraft were quickly deployed to free the injured and restore their bodies. Claudia Sheinbaum, Mexico’s leader, condemned the invasion, calling it “deplorable,” and expressed her condolences to the families of the victims. Conflicting criminal organizations have frequently been involved in violent incidents in this region of Michoacán, many of whom have been known to use improvised mines and drones to attack security forces. Men have been killed in a number of similar problems in recent years. An estimated 480, 000 people have died in Mexico since 2006 as a result of legal crime, the majority of which has been caused by drug smuggling. More than 120 000 individuals are still missing. The event comes as the United States is under increasing pressure to stop gang crime. Prior to now, US President Donald Trump had referred to six of the biggest Hispanic trafficking organizations as terrorist organizations, which has fueled rumors about potential military action.
