Local news reports on Wednesday that Jeju Air, South Korea’s best low-cost flight, encountered yet another health concern when one of its planes encountered minor issues while resetting at Vietnam’s Da Nang International Airport. Jeju Air Flight 2217 from Incheon abruptly veered off course on Tuesday at around 12.50 AM ( 1.50 AM Singapore time ) while landing at the airport. The helicopter immediately resumed its course and made a safe landing with 183 passengers on board. No one was hurt, but the wheels in the landing items were shattered. For the returning journey, the aircraft used a alternative Boeing 737-800 aircraft of the same kind. The return journey left Da Nang International Airport at 4.08 PM the same day, 14 hrs and 38 minutes later than the originally scheduled day. Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which was also the type of Flight 2216, is a major part of Jet Air’s fleet. Officials from the government of property, infrastructure, and transportation in South Korea are looking into the exact nature of the incident. This comes just a few weeks after Jeju Air experienced a severe injury on December 29, 2024 when Flight 2216 crashed-landed at the South Jeolla province’s Muan International Airport. A practical mound surrounded the aircraft as it slid off the airport. It detonated on effect, killing almost everyone on board. Just two of the team members who were seated again on the aircraft survived.
