Was accused of being prejudiced, colonial, and transphobic…

A Canadian-born teacher with 30 years of experience who was Scottish-born wanted to increase her “employability,” so she enrolled in the University of Western Ontario’s training programme in 2022.

However, the outcome wasn’t quite what Margaret Munn had anticipated. And now she’s suing the institution.

Her pretty first day in the group” Indigenous Education: Towards a Decolonizing Pedagogy” was described as a “disaster” according to the&nbsp, National Post.

The doctor reportedly “pulled her off after group” and lectured her about the “injustices suffered by Aboriginal people” after Munn inquired as to why mathematics and science educators may require the course’s subject matter.

Munn reportedly was reported to the associate dean of the school by the doctor.

The doctor also objected to Munn’s claim that wearing” historically appropriative” Halloween costumes wasn’t a big deal, as well as her “misgendering” of university teacher Kerry Lemieux who donned very big fake chest in front of students ( and is now back identifying as a person ).

In a later meeting with the instructor training manager, Munn was informed that her remarks about cultural appropriation “did not cultivate a healthy environment.” Due to the fact that it was “offensive,” she also had to rewrite a paper for the Decolonizing Pedagogy class.

    And it continued:

According to the statement of claim, the decolonization professor then convened the faculty’s diversity, equity, and inclusion committee, which gave the dean a non-binding recommendation for Munn’s dismissal. …

According to the statement of claim, Munn was accused of being racist, colonialist, transphobic, and advocate of child abuse during the meeting, claiming that she had been subjected to corporal punishment as a child and was none the worse for it. Munn was advised to avoid the decolonization professor’s classes despite the fact that she was still expected to finish the assignments. …

Munn alleges that she was falsely accused of plagiarism in December and that she was lied to by two instructors to the Ontario College of Teachers. According to the statement of claim, Munn was instructed not to challenge Indigenous faculty members during a meeting with the associate dean in January. She at least learned that the faculty’s investigation into her conduct was complete, but it involved interviews with unidentified accusers, which led to her being put on conditions to continue in the program.

The ordeal was “immensely stressful,” according to Munn’s lawyer Lisa Bildy ( who represented&nbsp. Richard Bilkszto, the Ontario principal who allegedly committed suicide after being bullied for questioning an anti-racism trainer ).

The lawsuit claims that “it was clear that the goal was to change Munn’s ] worldview as a condition of earning her]a ] degree.

Munn is asking for “various expenses to lessen the harm she and her career have caused,” including” a significant award of punitive damages to express the court’s disapproval” of various U.S. Staff actions in Western Ontario.
