Following the blatant robbery of an old Italian pure-gold hat from a gallery in the Netherlands, the French state has set off 5.7 million euros for a good payout. The Dutch Culture Ministry’s spokesperson confirmed to AFP on Friday that the money had been allocated as part of a program that gives the government a portion of the proceeds from providing for expensive gallery events. The program aims to encourage museums to display exhibits of priceless painting knowing that the condition will foot the bill in the event of theft or damage. A crew of pirates used fire weapons to break into the Drents Museum in the northern Netherlands in January to smash show circumstances outside. Three golden bracelets and a 2, 500-year-old beautiful Cotofenesti helmet were taken. The fraud and the research for the treasure frequently garners national attention in Romania, where the products are regarded as national treasures, and have sparked anger in the Netherlands. In this situation, the state had promised to pay back carriers for damages worth$ 5,500,000 if the plays were stolen. The director, who declined to be identified, told AFP,” It is likely that the government may pay out in accordance with the compensation scheme.” The hat, which is still being recovered and has not been melted over, was the subject of two suspects ‘ appearances in jury earlier this month. The spokesperson for the culture ministry said,” Of course, we hope that the stolen riches will be recovered, that is what all initiatives are focused on.” The state will receive reimbursement for the hat and vests if they are indeed recovered, but it could still be held responsible if harm is sustained. For information that leads to the healing of the helmet, police have offered a prize of 100, 000 dollars.
