Tehran summoned Austria’s charge of affairs on Friday after Tehran claimed to be attempting to acquire nuclear weapons from an Hungarian intelligence report that was “fake.” Tehran is engaged in the dispute as Tehran continues to pursue contentious conversations with the United States regarding its nuclear program. Austria’s home intelligence service ( DSN) stated on Monday that Iran’s “nuclear arms development program is also advanced” in its annual report on global challenges. Iran has been repeatedly accused of trying to acquire a nuclear weapon by the United States, Israel, and other European nations. Iran has vehemently refuted the claims, rather claiming that it is only carrying out a nuclear program for civil purposes. Iran is the only nation in the world that produces uranium up to 60 %, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency ( IAEA ). That price is also significantly below the 90 percent threshold set by a 2015 deal with earth powers, but it is far below that level. The Hungarian report stated that “every effort to prevent Iran’s weapons through sanctions and agreements has so far proved ineffective.” The Iranian government’s foreign government on Friday criticized the “fake information” that was published in the document and demanded an explanation from Austria’s state. The recognized IRNA news agency reported that Austria’s charged’affaires in Tehran, Michaela Pacher, was afterwards summoned to” present Iran’s powerful protest.” It stated that the government “emphasized the total contradiction of the Austrian report with several IAEA reports” during the conference. In the coming weeks, the IAEA, whose main office is in Vienna, will post a separate report on Iran’s nuclear routines. After Donald Trump’s first president pulled out of the 2015 deal, Iran and the United States are working with Omani-mediated efforts to reach a deal on Tehran’s nuclear program. Since last week’s conversations in Rome, there hasn’t yet been a time for the next Iran-US meeting. Foreign minister Abbas Araghchi stated on Thursday that he was” not certain” that a deal with the United States was in order. His speech came after Trump claimed on Wednesday that the two parties were “very near to a answer.”
