Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitar Josh Klinghoffer accepted a plea bargain after being accused of vehicular manslaughter.
Klinghoffer, 45, was charged in Israel Sanchez’s death in March after a car accident in Alhambra next month. When Sanchez, 47, was crossing a marked intersection at the intersection of West Main Street and South Meridian Avenue, Kluderer made a left turn and crossed the street. Therefore Klingelhoffer struck and killed Sanchez.
Klinghoffer entered a no-contest plea to vehicular homicide without cause on Wednesday in an Alhambra jury. He was given a time of casual supervision and 60 times of community service. Additionally, he will have to enroll in a driver’s health training and make restitution.
The attorney told Klinghoffer at the reading that if you continue to drive while distracted and have people die as a result, you may face murder charges.
After the event, Sanchez’s home claimed Klinghoffer was killed by a car accident while he was driving. According to the incident’s videos, accused Josh Adam Klinghoffer didn’t initiate braking or slow movement until after he fatally struck Israel Sanchez, implying that the defendant was good distracted driving.
The lawsuit continued, stating that” this terrible goal was near and demonstrated a intentional disregard for the rights and safety of people.”
After Josh struck this commuter in the crossroads, he promptly pulled over, stopped the car, called 911, and waited until authorities and the ambulance arrived, according to Andrew Brettler, Klinghoffer’s counsel in the civil lawsuit. He is evidently cooperating with the officers throughout the traffic analysis. It was essentially a tragic incident.
Klinghoffer and the Red Hot Chili Peppers played piano until John Frusciante, a seasoned guitarist, came back in 2009. Klunger was a member of the band’s 2012 Rock &, Roll Hall of Fame. Since then, he has performed with Pearl Jam and Jane’s Addiction.
