Three Hillsdale High School students started attacking a friend’s home, which was followed by gunshots.

A 54-year-old parents has been jailed and faces numerous felony counts in what the prosecution calls “teen evil gone bad.”

According to the prosecution, the father and buyer, Craig Steven Miceli, was charged this week after shooting a firearm at a car that three of his mother’s colleagues had climbed into after the kids egged his home two weeks after putting oil on his door. None of the teenagers were killed by the shots.

On Wednesday, San Mateo County District Attorney Stephen Wagstaffe declared that Miceli’s anger over the “pranks” the lads pulled is “understandable and reasonable.”

Wagstaffe said on Wednesday that what is no legitimate was when he made the decision to fire the gun at the car the three boys were driving. That is a misdemeanor crime because of the danger involved, which is why he is now facing multiple felony counts for that overreaction.

According to the prosecution, Miceli was charged with three felonies for abuse with a firearm and more rifle enhancements, as well as one count of shooting at a live-in vehicle, one felon for possessing an assault rifle, and three for assault with a firearm.

Miceli, who does not have a criminal record, may receive a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison if found guilty. At his trial on Tuesday, the judge ordered him to avoid speaking with the three youth, and he entered a not-guilty plea to all charges.

Last weekend, the three kids, 16 and 17, drove around San Mateo. According to the prosecution, on Friday, oil was discovered on the door of Miceli’s residence on the 1000 wall of Annapolis Drive, close to Bay Meadows Park.

Therefore, with hens in hand, they went back to their home shortly after midnight on Sunday. They returned in an SUV and threw them at the home. According to the prosecution, Miceli went around with a gun and fired two shots as the lads drove ahead. According to authorities, one of the guns lodged in the area screen and hit the passenger side of the SUV.

The kids didn’t make it all the way. The SUV was stopped by advancing authorities, who then interviewed Miceli.

The parents claimed that his child had been a victim of bullying at the high school and that he was angry that he had to clean the fuel off his door, according to authorities. According to the prosecution, he claimed to have shot his gun at the wheels of the boys ‘ auto before after throwing it in Water Dog Lake.

An improper automatic weapons and ammunition were discovered when researchers obtained a search warrant for Miceli’s home, according to prosecutors.

According to the prosecution, Miceli was still being held on a$ 25 000 loan as of Tuesday. However, prison records indicate that he has been posting bail ever since. On June 9, Iceli may make her next court appearance for a initial reading.

The San Mateo Police Department, which has a diversion program for youth that emphasizes schooling and public services, did not pursue charges against the three guys for the theft, but they will be dealt with by them, according to Wagstaffe. The office failed to file charges against the DA’s office for the three minor’s behavior.

The DA stated that Hillsdale High School did handle bullying allegations against Miceli’s girl.

The San Mateo Union High School District and the class both sent a message to the great school group that was distributed after the DA’s office received requests for comment.

According to Hillsdale High School Principal Jeff Gilbert,” This is a continuing criminal investigation with law enforcement and in our school society,” the email states.

Wagstaffe added that this case serves as a” good lesson” for teenagers and a” tremendous” opportunity for parents to talk to their kids.

” I’m convinced the youth assumed it was just laughing among themselves without realizing how unsafe it could be,” Wagstaffe said. You always know who you might run into, and it might put your life at risk.

Wagstaffe emphasized that it is also a good idea for people to “act with some self-control and refrain from engaging in weapons play.”

He claimed that if the shot that killed one of the lads had hit him and killed him, he would spend the rest of his life in prison for murder. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case.
