The North Carolina Department of Public Safety (NCDPS) is holding SAFE ( secure all firearms effectively ) week of action from June 1 through June 7, an initiative aimed at promoting safe firearm storage throughout the state. Ten locations in North Carolina were ranked among the top 100 in the country in terms of reported weapons incidents from vehicles in 2022.
