The White House is accepting new offense figures that suggest the crime rate may be heading for its lowest level in years.

Since President [ Donald ] Trump took office, murder rates have decreased across the country, according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, who spoke to the Washington Examiner on Tuesday. President Trump reacted quickly by being vocal about being tough on crime, firmly backing law police, and standing agency on the principle that violent criminals are held to the fullest extent of the law by promising American households that their populations would be safer.

According to Real-Time Crime Index data, offense researcher Jeff Asher has highlighted a 20 percent stage decrease in murders despite there still being seven more months until the year is over.

Asher, co-founder of AH Datalytics and a former CIA officer, wrote on social media that “murder is down almost 22 % while violent crime ( 11 % ) and property crime ( 14 % ) are also down significantly.” Bottom line: Violence of all kinds is rapidly declining in the United States so far in 2025. There is still room for these styles to fade, but there is still no proof that the drops are abating.

407 organizations that cover 98 million citizens have been provided with information through March 2025’s update to the Real-Time Crime Index. Murder is down almost 22 %, but property crime ( 11 % ) and violent crime ( 11 % ) are both down significantly. Death increased by 6+ in 26 authorities while it increased by 6+ in 5 Realtimecrimeindex.com

In a individual, earlier post, he stated that,” to clearly answer the question whether 2025 will have the lowest crime rate previously recorded, I may say “maybe.” The idea that it’s also plausible just five years after the largest boost in death ever recorded is very remarkable, and the math usually works out.

Real-Time Crime Index’s analysts acknowledge flaws in their own data because they used nationwide crime estimates that are released annually from federal crime estimates that are released annually. The Uniform Crime Reporting System and the National Crime Victimization Survey have previously been contested due to how police agencies report crimes to the most powerful law enforcement agency and patients report crimes to police departments, which is also based on FBI information.

According to Mark Morgan, a former associate FBI director and current leader of the Coalition for Law Order and Health, and Sean Kennedy, the executive producer of CLOS, “another complicating factor is underreporting by the officers themselves, who may be under pressure to “downcharge” offenses or persuade the victims from reporting the crime at all,” they wrote for the Washington Examiner next year. Any such dishonesty would “inject bad data into the FBI’s estimation model, only compounding its errors,” according to the statement made by officials when they are under enormous pressure to show progress in preventing crime.

Regardless, 2014 saw the lowest murder rate to date, with a 4.45 per 100,000 people reported by the FBI. Due to a lack of participation from law enforcement organizations, data collected before the 1960s is difficult to compare to current statistics.

The White House applauding the data coincides with Trump and his aides highlighting the administration’s efforts to combat illegal immigration and crime in the wake of a rise in antisemitic incidents, including last weekend’s incident involving illegal immigrant Mohamed Sabry Soliman, 45, who injured at least eight people with a flamethrower and Molotov cocktails at a&nbsp, Jewish&nbsp, community event in Boulder, &nbsp, Colorado

BOULDER SUSPECT CHARGED WITH FEDERAL HATE CRIME FOR TARGETING” ZIONIST GROUP”

Leavitt and Leavitt said on Monday that violence, such as the shooting deaths of two Israeli Embassy aides in May outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., was unacceptable to the president and this White House during a brief conversation with reporters outside the West Wing.

This president has your back and won’t allow anyone to take part in violent&nbsp, terrorism, Leavitt said.” Rest assured to all Jewish Americans across our great country. This case in Boulder, Colorado is being looked into as acts of terrorism in our country, and that’s what they call terrorist acts. Thank you to our  FBI  Director  Kash Patel&nbsp for recognizing right away that this is a targeted terrorist attack. That is certainly what it was.
