The information, which was first made available to Fox News, aligns with FBI Director Kash Patel’s work with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Department of Homeland Security in achieving President Donald Trump’s objectives of reducing illegal immigration, which emphasize extreme imprisonment approaches and well-known crackdowns on group activity, especially involving MS-13.

The FBI is “proud to work with great lovers like @DHSgov @ICEgov @DEAHQ and more,” Patel wrote on X. There are more outcomes to come, according to the president’s command.

The information was confirmed by the FBI in a report to the Washington Examiner, and it has come as a result of extensive organizational changes, with many senior officials leaving or being fired by Patel in recent months. &nbsp,

About a third of FBI employees, or 13, 192 full, have been working in immigration enforcement since the Trump administration’s inception. Prior to now, the FBI had a limited direct involvement with immigration enforcement, leaving responsibilities mainly to organizations like ICE and Customs and Border Protection. However, under Trump-era commands, the FBI began enhancing its cooperation with these organizations, especially in combined operations aimed at international gangs.

The FBI participated in one of the Virginia Homeland Security Task Force efforts that resulted in the arrest of reported MS-13 crew chief Henry Josue Villatoro Santos in March. As a result of that functioning, 342 people were detained, of which 81 had “gang or international crime affiliation.”

The transfer of FBI information comes just weeks after Stephen Miller, a White House deputy chief of staff, criticized top DHS and ICE officers for their small arrest and imprisonment rates.
