The Chilean national authorities claim that Miguel Uribe, the president’s candidate, was shot on Saturday at a campaign event in Bogota’s Fontibon district. When adversaries opened fire from behind in a garden in the state’s Fontibon community, the attack took place. Mayor of Bogota Carlos Galan stated that the city’s full hospital network was on call in the event of a transfer. He confirmed that Uribe was receiving emergency care. A suspected gunman has been apprehended, according to Bogota Mayor Carlos Galán. A small reportedly involved in the attack was apprehended at the picture and is currently receiving treatment for a knee injury, according to Colombian police captain Gen Carlos Triana. A rifle was recovered. According to authorities, councillor Andres Barrios and about 20 people were with Uribe Turbay at the time of the firing. Gustavo Petro, the president of Colombia, expressed his support on social media by saying,” Value career, that’s the dark line.” Petro stated his support for Uribe’s home in a message posted on X, saying,” I don’t know how to ease your pain.
