The Georgia GOP met over the weekend to set up its management elections. A status group that Republican Governor had been a disaster for in recent years. Brian Kemp omitted it during his prosperous 2022 reelection campaign, and Chairman Josh McKoon, who skillfully won reelection, has righted the fleet.

It seemed logical for her to deliver a speech given that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s region was located in Dalton, Georgia. After she finished, she sat down with Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Greg Bluestein to reflect on her coming and criticize the Republican-led Georgia General Assembly for failing to pass some important liberal activities.
The statement, according to Bluestein,” an additional indication that MTG is considering a run for the term-limited governor.” In a GOP main that Donald Trump’s followers are likely to favor, Brian Kemp.
The Democrats ‘ side is already crowded, and at least two different Democrats are throwing their hats in the circle. Keisha Lance Bottoms, Atlanta’s previous president, is the most well-known name on the party’s area. Democrat Lt. Governor is currently the only Republican in the race, but solicitor general Chris Carr is. This summer, Burt Jones is most likely to reveal his election.
Greene claimed Bluestein wasn’t enthusiastic about the state of the GOP in the moment.
She acknowledged,” I’m not throwing censure on any of them, but I am not unduly impressed at this time.” Chris Carr is the only candidate for the governor’s office, and I was extremely shocked and depressed to see that he did not join 40 additional attorney generals nationwide in a letter they sent to Washington regarding the AI moratorium.” It’s a deal breaker,” said Carr.

Greene hasn’t given up on running for governor, and she turned down the opportunity to work for the Senate earlier this flower. Additionally, she explained to Bluestein that choosing a government candidate is a difficult choice.

She said,” It’s certainly something I think is bright for me to take into account, but it’s not something I take lightly.” ” I adore my city a lot. I can’t say that ample days. I think the 14th District of Georgia is fantastic, and I believe I stand out as a strong member of the legislative branch. But my position is my home. I truly do.”
Kemp is leaving big shoes to fill. Kemp has led the Peach State as the first modern governor in Georgia to lead the state as a good liberal and have won numerous important victories for residents and businesses throughout the state. Sonny Perdue and Nathan Deal both started their political jobs as Democrats before becoming the GOP. I’ve lived in Georgia all my life, and there has never been a more trustworthy and powerful conservative governor in this position.
Side note: I am aware that whenever I write about Kemp, people who suffer from Kemp Derangement Syndrome often get agitated on social media and in the comments area. Kemp’s lack of support for the states that the Democrats allegedly tampered with the Georgian election in 2020 was a source of fury in the eyes of several. However, Kemp and Donald Trump continued to support each other, and things settled next year. Brian Kemp is a strong MAGA supporter, a person of exceptional character, and a true liberal fighter.
Greene is aware that the applicant with Trump and Kemp’s support will quickly emerge as the frontrunner.
” I’ve always believed that President Trump and governor have a lot of electricity,” she said. She allegedly told Bluestein,” Kemp.” ” And you know, I’ve supported the government for a long time,” he said. And of course, I have always been a staunch supporter of President Trump. Therefore, I believe that unification is beneficial.

She also stated that candidates doesn’t work on their MAGA bona fides while also telling Bluestein:” I don’t think anyone should work on their relationship with President Trump, because I certainly could work on that perhaps better than anyone else. I believe they may work on their track record, and I believe they may run on their own platform to represent Georgia’s people and businesses.
I’ll say that when Greene first appeared in Congress, I wasn’t a lover. Although I believed she was too much of a rocket, she has evolved and matured over the years. She can also state and do some cringey points, but she’s a strong Mag fighter. I’m not sure how she would fare as governor ( I’m leaning toward Carr at the moment ), but I do believe she can continue to fight regardless of what role she occupies.
There is still work to be done despite the ancient 2024 election’s celebration. We need to get prepared to hold on to and strengthen our GOP bulk at the federal and state levels because 2026 will be here before you know it.
