Katy Perry says Los Angeles belongs to Mexico; X users ask her to shut up, remind her she’s an ‘astronaut’, not a historian

Katy Perry says Los Angeles belongs to Mexico; X users ask her to shut up, remind her she's an 'astronaut', not a historian
Kate Perry was mocked on social media for claiming that California was after a Mexican colony.

Katy Perry, a pop star who backed the riots in Los Angeles, claimed that because the city is essentially a Mexican city, illegal immigrants are being hunted like criminals in their ancient home. Social media users chided her and reminded her that the new Blue Origin space flight made her an “astronaut” but not a scholar. Katy Perry shared her thoughts on the protests and how a terrible injustice is being done to the people who built the city in a series of Instagram reports. Los Angeles has lived under the colors of Mexico, Mexico, and the United States. Despite shifting borders, strength, change, and fingers, the population, particularly the brown and indigenous folks, has always existed there. The information read “planting stems, building life, raising families.” ” And then, in 2025, the kin of those same areas are being sought after, like thieves and their own ancient home.” It’s more than annoying; it’s a grave injustice. How can a town built on Latino work, Mexican history, and Hispanic culture turn round and prosecute the very people who created it? the article was added. The message read,” This was once Mexican land, and the people who are targeted today are frequently descended from those who have lived here for years or who came here for health, work, and dignity,” according to the concept. ” Some undocumented immigrants are slowly supporting the market with their work, raising households, paying taxes, and contributing to communities, yet they are reviled and dignified.” One article made the mockery of Katy Perry by saying,” Remember, Katy Perry is an astronomer, no a historian.” “@katyperry believes that Mexico and Spain are the same area. “,” another wrote. A warning that Hollywood snobs are just that. Lacking any awareness about Mexico, or her advertising frenzy, is a trait. According to a third user, it was New Spain ( the Virreinato de Nueva Espana ), which was a component of the Spanish Empire.
