Starting this Saturday, the FIFA Club World Cup will be held at the stadium in Miami. However, federal immigration officials have maintained that they will be providing more safety and not to detain illegal immigrants.

As the Federation Internationale de Football Association’s game gets underway this trip through July 13, national authorities from the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement may be present at the game to serve as protection backup to local and state authorities.

As we do with every major sporting event, including the Super Bowl, U.S. Customs and Border Protection is working with our local and federal partners to make sure all involved is healthy during the FIFA Club World Cup 26TM&nbsp. Our goal is unbroken, according to a declaration from CBP.

Some of CBP’s 60, 000 employees will be stationed at Hard Rock Stadium in city Miami to look for and respond to challenges from those who engage in criminal or fraudulent activity. According to CBP, they will coordinate disaster and tragedy management, place temporary flight limitations around the facility, and oversee security checks of attendees and vehicles.

Despite rumors that CBP would test the immigration status of those attending the games, NBC-6 South Florida reported that ICE has instructed guests to be prepared to provide proof of legal position if they are not citizens of the United States.

ICE and CBP were accused of deleting messages on X that claimed their employees may get” suited and booted” at the event. Many requests for comment were not received by ICE.

Given how the Trump presidency has recently expanded its mass deportation procedure to pin non-criminal illegal immigrants, Thomas Kennedy of the Florida Immigration Coalition wrote in a blog on Wednesday that the responses were concerning.

The communications used by CBP is a little obscure, suggesting that people may have their documents in order to attend the games, Kennedy told NBC-6. Because of just pure harassment, it creates an environment where people are less likely to occur watch the game.

Gianni Infantino, chairman of FIFA, stated to reporters that he was not concerned about it at a press event in Coral Gables, Florida, on Tuesday afternoon.

” No, I have no worries about anything because we are very attentive to any surveillance questions. Of course, we must ensure that all fans who attend the games have access to safety first. Infantino stated that this is top priority for us.

Kennedy even claimed in a blog to X this week that the Coast Guard boarded and stopped a ship carrying people from a Telemundo celebration celebrating one year until the World Cup.

They examined the staff’s emigration standing on the boat. In a blog that has received 5 million views, Kennedy wrote,” The governor of Miami-Dade, FIFA officers, and Telemundo authority were present.”

The Coast Guard did not respond to a request for comment.

The games come almost a year after the scuffle at the Copa America soccer tournament finalized in July at Hard Rock Stadium.

Soccer-related injuries have been brought by wounded sports fans who attended the game to file a lawsuit against the facility and Response, the country’s top sports business, for not having an adequate security plan for the arriving fans, some of whom stormed the ticket gates and caused a stampede.
