    According to the City Journal, a former Lockheed Martin employee claims that the largest defense contractor in the United States gave bonuses based on staff ‘ races more than their performance at work. The behavior was described as immoral and possibly illegal. The journalist, who worked in Lockheed’s aeronautics department, claimed that senior officials gave him the instructions to update the listing of employees who were qualified for” too many bright employees” in the wake of the investigation into the situation in late 2022. Irrespective of their effectiveness, more immigrants were anticipated to be included in the revised list. In accordance with inner messages that the cause saw, Lockheed’s CEO Santiago Bulnes contacted the journalist in response to a problem from La Wanda Moorer, the company’s human resources producer. I received a call from [human resources director ] La Wanda [ Moorer ] last night regarding diversity statistics on comp adder, according to Bulnes. They tried their luck at getting your few approved, and we were told that we needed to fit in the package. To make it easier to find the best in the class, I asked her to give you the listing of diversity titles.” Lockheed’s human resources staff allegedly gave certain instructions, such as increasing the number of people of color while decreasing the number of “non-minority” recipients by an equal amount. The whistleblower claims he made an ethics complaint and that the company was concerned that the policy was unfair and difficult because of one instruction, which read, “increasing POC for Comp Adder will result in the removal of similar count of non-minority.” Human lawyers reportedly said it was the “lesser of two evils” when asked about the team’s ability to find enough majority candidates to switch in, Moorer responded,” T]he preference is for you to get it. The journalist claims he was forced to replace 18 light employees with 18 majority ones on the prize list if you come back and say you didn’t get there and it’s strange because I believe that changing the conversation as a business area as a business is what we are willing to accept. He stated in a letter of resignation shared with colleagues that “at the path of Lockheed, I positively discriminated against higher performing individuals, denied them higher give they earned, and denied them the opportunity to get motivated as a major performer.” Lockheed Martin has since responded by insisting that it operates as a meritocracy. According to a company spokesman,” Lockheed Martin is a meritocracy, and we are committed to recognising performance, rewarding excellence, and upholding the principles of merit and fairness.” The allegations come as the Trump administration’s enforcement practices shift, the company continued. Federal contractors are prohibited from running discriminatory DEI ( diversity, equity and inclusion ) programs by a recent executive order. Harmeet Dhillon, who is currently in charge of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, is reportedly interested in cases involving discrimination against white people.
