Alex Padilla ( My Turn, Commiefornia ), the newly elected Democrat in charge of a U.S. Senate seat, was introduced to his constituents at this presser by acting as a security risk. Padilla shouted and attempted to get in front of the devices with Noem but was soon hauled aside by soldiers. The soldiers were escorting people in ways similar to what Padilla did. Obviously, legislators are supposed to use pins so things like this doesn’t happen.  ,

One of the concerns I had, after L. A. rioters hailed Waymo self-driving electric cars to park themselves in the middle of the 101 and then set them on fire, was that Waymo self-driving electric cars could be hailed to park themselves in the middle of the 101 where they could be set on fire. When set on fire, these vehicles turn into toxic gas clouds. For protesters/rioters/terrorists, it’s a two-fer. The cars drive themselves to the rioting scene, and rioters keep police and firefighters at bay while innocent people and criminals alike breathe the poisonous gas.  ,
This concept was put to the test in Seattle, of course, because it was. Terrorists ride e-scooters to the scene of the planned riot and then set the lithium-ion batteries on fire, creating a toxic cloud.  ,

Before I go
I took part in the Portland Rose Parade on Saturday. I rode a float with former Rose Festival Princesses (yes, princesses, and don’t you forget it! only a few snarky t-shirts were visible, and they waved at smiling parents with their kids. I haven’t seen this , Portland in years, and I was delighted that my home town looks more like it used to before the unrest and riots from 2016 to 2021.
Having said that, I always kept my hands on my pepper spray to make sure that when Antifa attacked me, they wouldn’t go unpunished. They didn’t show up.  ,
Antifa has been very quiet in Portland even as other cities blow up. The ICE office has been tried to fire, but there haven’t been any riots.  ,
