Israel-Iran war: Attack comes at a moment of weakness for Iran's proxies
    Official representation

Iran has invested billions of dollars, weaponry, and military talents in a great job that has been aimed at creating a network of anti-Israeli militias known as the” Axis of Resistance,” which would add Iran in the event that an Israeli-Israeli conflict arises. Some expected those military groups to adequately respond to the Israeli aggression, according to experts, because of how degraded that axis has become over the previous year. Hezbollah, the Palestinian militant party seen as Iran’s most prominent proxy, condemned the invasion but didn’t offer a military response in the clearest indication of that weakened position. This is a notable omission from a group that has long served as the pillar of the axis. Additionally, the Houthis in Yemen did not mention military action. The plane hasn’t been completely destroyed, but it has been diminished beyond the threshold of return, according to Mohanad Hage Ali, a senior colleague at the Carnegie Middle East Center in Beirut. Iran lost a vital ally in December when Syrian rebels, led by Hezbollah, toppled Bashar al-Assad’s government there.” It has been turned into an axis of sitting ducks waiting for the next Zionist strikes.” Iranian-backed Iraqi armies and the Houthis are also present among Iran’s intermediaries, which are still present. The Houthis are currently the most advanced and timely of the plane, but Israeli strikes have also had an impact on their capability, Ali said.
