The United States is sending more military resources to the Middle East as the battle between Israel and Iran continues to rise. US defence minister Pete Hegseth confirmed the walk on Monday, saying the operations aim to strengthen security for British troops in the region. “Over the trip, I directed the implementation of additional features to the United States Central Command Area of Responsibility, ” Hegseth said in a post on social media app X. “Protecting US causes is our best objective and these operations are intended to improve our defense position in the region. ” While Hegseth did not details what forces or tools were being sent, US military sources told media firm Reuters that the troops include a large number of US Air Force refuelling plane. These planes help expand the range and moment fighter jets may stay in the air. The Pentagon is even moving the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz to the Middle East. The Nimitz is one of the world’s largest vessels and was seen travelling through the Malacca Strait towards the Indian Ocean on Monday evening, according to Marine Traffic, a ship-tracking site. A Taiwanese official confirmed that a planned greeting on board the Nimitz was cancelled, information media company AFP. A notice from the US consulate stated that the visit was being scrapped owing to “an evolving operating condition. ”The company’s routing coincides with moment four of an extremely dangerous flying discord between Iran and Israel. Iranian officials said that Israeli attacks had killed at least 224 folks, including military officers, nuclear professionals and citizens. In reaction, Iran launched rockets at Israel and warned that “effective, focused and more destructive operations” may follow. US ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee said on Monday that one of Iran’s weapons somewhat damaged a tower used by the American embassy in Tel Aviv. At the same time, website flight-tracking programs have shown around two hundred US Air Force cargo plane flying east over the Atlantic since Sunday. Army reports and analysis site TWZ believe the planes may either be preparing to help Jewish flying operations over Iran or are creating a refuelling bridge to walk more US assets into the region. Speaking from the G7 summit in Canada, Donald Trump offered a nebulous notice. “As immediately as I leave around, we’re going to be doing something. But I have to leave here, ” he told reporters. The White House even confirmed that the MAGA chairman is set to leave the G7 summit a day earlier due to the ongoing Middle East problems.
