According to images of the occasion, Wild attended the annual charity for the Philadelphia section of the Council on American-Islamic Relations on March 9, 2019. Wild addressed Marc Lamont Hill, who was awarded the” Malcolm X Justice and Freedom Award” after his high-profile dismissal from CNN a few months before. Hill was fired by the progressive community in November 2018 for calling for” a complimentary Palestine from the valley to the sea,” a pro-Israel phrase.
Wild has occasionally called for robust U.S. Israel ties and has converted to Judaism.
