Tim Allen’s potential third collaboration with ABC has resulted in the release of a pilot for the new show” Shifting Gears,” which ABC has ordered for the community. The comedy show, also under a working subject, is also executive produced by Mike Scully and Julie Thacker Scully, who may serve as artists.
According to Variety, Allen is expected to present Matt, a widowed owner of a vintage car repair shop, whose life changes when his estranged girl and her young children move in with him. Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Richard Baker, and Rick Messina are even professional producing the task, which is produced by 20th Broadcast.
The announcement was promoted by Allen, 70, in a post on X ( formerly Twitter ), expressing his excitement about the new comedy pilot.

” Shifting Gears” extends Tim Allen’s significant relationship with ABC and Disney, highlighted by his roles in the successful series” Home Improvement” ( 1991- 1997 ) and” Last Man Standing”, which aired on ABC from 2011 to 2017 before moving to Fox until 2021.

Allen first gained major public attention in the 1990s with his role as Tim” The Toolman” Taylor on the hit sitcom” Home Improvement”. The episode, which aired from 1991 to 1999, featured Tim’s shenanigans both on and off his imaginary television present” Tool Time,” which depicted his family life with a funny emphasis on manhood and traditional jobs.
The part helped establish Allen as a household name as well as highlight his humorous abilities and friendly on-screen persona.
