House Freedom Caucus Ousts Rep. Ken Buck

The House Freedom Caucus has booted Rep. Ken Buck ( R- Colo. ) from its ranks, The Epoch Times has learned.

The Hill initially reported on March 20 regarding this growth, claiming that it occurred on March 19 at night.

The retiring Colorado senator has veered off from his own meeting on a number of contentious problems, including his opposition to the removal of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Additionally, he opposes the House Republican effort to remove President Joe Biden from office because of alleged international control piracy.

The Liberty Caucus action comes as Mr. Buck leaves Congress later this year.

Mr. Buck made his departure announcement on March 12.

” Today, I am announcing that I may flee Congress at the end of second week”, he said. I’m eager to continue to be a part of our democratic process as well as to spend more time with my home and in Colorado.

Mr. Buck spoke with CNN’s Dana Bash to discuss his schedule.

” Outside I go in Colorado, Dana, I hear that people are never content with Trump and they’re not happy with Biden…. We have to have better prospects, up and down the vote, not just a president, but Senate, House, regional offices. We need to get more effective way to choose candidates and unite America.

Mr. Buck’s withdrawal will keep the GOP with only 218 House members and a two- chair majority.

Given that his party has a slender majority in the lower legislative room, he said,” It’s important to get in the combination of this election cycle and start talking about the issues that people recognize are quite a problem right today.”

Mr. Buck has represented the country’s Third Congressional District since 2015.

He worked on the Iran- Contra research in the 1980s for next- Rep. Dick Cheney ( R- Wyo. ) and then became a counsel with the U. S. Department of Justice before joining the Colorado U. S. Attorney’s Office. He served as Weld County’s district attorney for the first of three conditions in 2004.

In his departure picture, Mr. Buck stated that the land is “on a motion training with reality” and that” Americans are rightly concerned about our country’s potential and are looking to Republicans in Washington for a course correction.”

Then, Mr. Buck pointed the finger at members of his own party, to which he has never been afraid to object. He was one of three Republicans who cast a ballot in opposition to the resignation of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

” Too many Republican leaders lie to Americans, accusing us of a swindling the 2020 election, describing January 6 as a illogical Capitol tour, and making claims that the prosecutions are using our justice system as a weapon. These shady tales foster widespread cynicism and undermine Americans ‘ faith in the rule of law.

In a Nov. 1, 2023, interview following his initial announcement that he would n’t seek reelection, Mr. Buck told MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell that one of the primary reasons was his frustration over the legislative body’s ability to get its job done.

” I always have been disappointed with how ineffectively we handled significant issues in Congress,” he said.

He claimed in his video announcement that Republicans had” significantly deviated from the enduring principles of conservatives” at the time.

” We are a part of the party of Ronald Reagan and Abraham Lincoln.” The Republican Party of today, however, is ignoring self- evident truths about the rule of law”.

He claimed that “answers developed from the government, not the government” is what gave the country its exceptionalism after serving for more than three decades.

Mr. Buck has been vocal criticizing Democrats in recent years, claiming that the organization employs extremist tactics to polarize the population. He has also voiced his concerns about the fentanyl epidemic in the United States and criticizes how it is applied in the military.
