UN Report Says E-Waste Production Far Outpacing Recycling, Raising Environmental and Economic Concerns

According to the UN’s International E-waste Monitor, the worldwide production of digital waste has five times outpaced the growth in global e-waste recycling by five times, raising significant environmental and economic concerns.
According to the U. N., digital waste, or e- spend, is any home or business item with circuitry, electronic components, power, or battery supply that has been discarded. In various areas around the world, it is also referred to as electronic products, electronic waste, or e- piece.
Around a fourth of e- spare comes from small tools like toys, vacuum cleaning, and monitors. Additional examples of electronic- waste include mobile phones, laptops, displays, monitors, televisions, and refrigerators….
