FCC Commissioner Says New Bill Would Force TikTok to Sever Ties With CCP Through Divesting

According to Brendan Carr, commissioner of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the House’s fresh act to reduce TikTok’s security challenges in the United States is” but intelligent” because it calls for TikTok to cut ties with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
The bill aims to protect regional stability, which differs from private laws, Mr. Carr said in an interview on Epoch Screens” American Thought Leaders” system.
He argued that rules that would protect Americans ‘ data protection and online child protection laws will not stop TikTok from jeopardizing American national security.
The new law would authorize the president to compel the price of a software company that offers online solutions or a social media company that is under the control of a foreign adversary.
