As a Senate- confirmed office minister, Mayorkas himself is on a predetermined pay level and received$ 246, 400 in governmental 2024. The number is the same pay as additional Cabinet secretary.
The DHS assistant’s company receives about$ 27 million more money as a result of the increase in funding.
According to a spokeswoman for Ogles, the bill does not specify what exactly$ 363 million can be spent on other than that it will go toward the” DHS Office of the Secretary and Executive Management.”
A request for comment was never received by the DHS.

A voting on the DHS financing costs, part of a “minibus” of six budget charges, is scheduled for Friday. Democrats may require two-thirds of the House’s members to support the agreement, which means there may need much Republicans to support it.
