Clear Lake and , Mason City  , people may have seen , Black Hawk , planes flying low in the sky Tuesday evening. The planes were piece of an , Iowa National Guard , and Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve company referral time.
The event was held in piece at the , National Guard Armory , and in part at , Mason City Municipal Airport.
Brig. Gen.  , William F. McClintock , welcomed guests with a short description of the benefits of having , U. S.  , military service people as people. He emphasized that Iowans who serve in the , National Guard , make a determination of one trip per month and two months over the summers to be ready for any work they may be called to do.
The company referral time was an opportunity for troops to show business leaders what they do and the skills they have developed in the watch.
Staff Sgt.  , Madison Dutka , has spent six years with the 1133rd , Transportation Co.  , based out of , Mason City. She joined at only 17 years older, and along with developing sought- after knowledge, she has enjoyed the opportunity to interact with other troops.
” Being able to create those relationships is crucial”, she said. ” On our , Wisconsin , goal we had cookouts and would play the guitar and sing at nights, and it was just a good time”.
Collin Hall , spent nine times with the 1133rd and then works in the repair shop as a human. He volunteered to communicate with members about the 984A2 treatment car he’s been trained to operate.
Every part of the 1133rd is trained to push the 915A5 freightliner, but to perform the recovery car requires advanced teaching.
” I took a 16- time sure at , Camp Dodge”, said Hall. ” Recovery can get complicated with cars this size”.
Capt.  , Nate Hoeger, captain of the 1133rd, sees the men of his business as important members of the community as well as his product. He praised ESGR volunteers , Becky Coady , and , Dan Fehr , for the work they make to connect watch people with jobs, opportunities and solutions they need to be effective.
Fehr in particular has an outstanding perception of what services people need. He’s a former chief of the 1133rd himself.
In addition to companies,  , Mason City  , Mayor , Bill Schickel, Fire Chief , Erik Bullinger , and Police Chief , Jeff Brinkley , were in attendance. The area is one of many companies that attract current and former military users.
Following the demonstration, members gathered at the , Mason City Municipal Airport. There they were divided into three groups and each party took a 20- second helicopter trip of the place.
Pilots flew over along , Highway 122, and upon arriving at , Clear Lake, traveled out over the ocean and along the shore series to give passengers a frog’s- eye view of the beautiful tourist town.
Coming back along , 19th Street Southwest, the flight crew came up from the south of downtown , Mason City  , and made a loop around  , Central Park , before returning to the airport.
