Russian President Vladimir Putin has linked Ukraine to the Crocus City Hall terrorist attack in Moscow that has left at least 130 persons dying.
Soviet security forces have apprehended four people who are believed to possess instantly carried out the assault. Though the Islamic State ( ISIS ) has claimed responsibility for the killings, Putin accused Ukraine of helping to plan and carry out the attack in a video address that lasted roughly five minutes.
” My fellow Russians, I come to you after this bloody, barbaric act of terrorism that claimed the lives of tens of citizens, our people, including children, youth, people, many of them are in critical situations and physicians are fighting for their life. I’m convinced that they will do anything in their fingers to save the lives and health”, the just re- elected Soviet leader said. He went on to express that Sunday has been designated as a regional time of day and added that anti- violence steps are in effect across the world’s money.
” All four of the offenders were instantly involved, who were gunning people down, killing people. They were found and apprehended”, Putin continued. ” They tried to escape. They were moving towards the border with Ukraine, and we have data that suggests that they were about to become moved towards the place of Ukraine by those in Ukraine”.
Ukraine has denied any connection to the invasion. In a statement of his own, Ukrainian Presidential Advisor Mykhailo Podolyak said that attempts to link the two were “absolutely unsustainable”.
“Ukraine has not the slightest relation to this event. Ukraine has a complete- level war with Russia and may solve the problem of Russia’s aggression on the field”, he said.
Putin went on to say that Soviet security forces are “working on finding out the orchestrators of this criminal assault, those who gave them vehicles, who created, who gave them weapons”.
” The exploratory government will do everything to discover all details of this crime, but it’s already apparent that we face not just a deliberately organized terrorist assault, but a large mass killing of civilians”, he continued. ” These perpetrators, these criminals went specifically to kill, to kill people, point blank, our people, our children, just like the Nazis that once killed our people during the war. They do the same. All the orchestrators, all those who are responsible for this crime will inevitably be found responsible. They will pay. We will identify everyone who stands behind these terrorists and they will pay”.
At least four gunmen could be seen firing indiscriminately at civilians inside the lobby of the concert hall. The building’s roof was also set on fire, causing it to collapse as of Sunday morning. Russian officials have stated that both gunfire and effects from the blaze have contributed to the death toll, which currently stands at 133.
A total of 11 people have been detained in connection with the attack, including four men who have been labeled as direct perpetrators by Russian security forces.
One of the suspects described himself as a migrant from Tajikistan who was staying in a hostel with other migrants from the Caucus region and Central Asia. Another suspect stated that he was paid and ordered to shoot civilians indiscriminately, though he did not specify who delivered the payment.
” I do n’t know. They wrote it on Telegram without a last name, nothing”, the suspect said when asked who directed him to carry out the attack.
This is a developing story.
