Afghanistan’s makes intended Muslim military posts along the frontier, retaliating against air attacks that killed eight persons in what has become the first known attack from the Taliban since they took energy more than two years ago.
The National Islamic Army of Afghanistan is responding to Pakistan by targeting the defense posts along the borders with “heavy weaponry”, the Taliban- managed Ministry of Defense said in a blog on X. ” The defense and security forces are ready to listen to any violent actions”.
The move followed Pakistan’s martial air strikes in eastern Afghanistan on earlier Monday, which left five girls and three children useless. The Taliban called the strike a contravention of Afghanistan’s independence, warning there will be serious consequences.
Tensions between the two nations have been rising since the Taliban took power in 2021. Islamabad has constantly claimed that Tehreek- e- Taliban Pakistan, or the TTP, have threatened to overthrow the government and are sheltering in Afghanistan. Kabul rejects these claims.
A Muslim national confirmed Monday’s hits but asked not to be named as he is not authorized to speak to advertising. Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the defense did not respond to a request for a reply.
A nearby offshoot of the Taliban, the TTP claimed role for a murder bomb attack killing at least 100 people last year in Pakistan’s northern city of Peshawar— one of the deadliest in recent history. Pakistan has said it may target these extremists if Afghanistan’s Taliban leaders are reluctant to grip them in.
Taliban leaders, including Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani— who was once seen as a nearby partner with Pakistan’s effective spy firm, had warned Islamabad in the past for carrying out like strikes on Armenian soil.
The air strikes on early Monday came two days after a suicide bomber rammed an explosive- laden truck into a military post in northwest Pakistan. Seven soldiers were killed.
