The on- once, off- once express immigration rules is once more on hold while the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals considers its constitutionality.
According to the Austin American- Statesman, Senate Bill 4 did let state and local law police to detain and arrest people who are suspected of entering the state improperly from Mexico. Last Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court lifted a momentary hang on the laws, which allowed it to go into effect for a few hours before the 5th Circuit court once more halted SB4’s enforcement while it was weighing its constitutionality.
