According to the Austin American-Statesman, Senate Bill 4 would enable local and state law enforcement to detain and arrest people who are suspected of entering the condition from Mexico improperly. Last Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court lifted a momentary hang on the laws, which allowed it to go into effect for a few hours before the 5th Circuit court once more halted SB4’s enforcement while it was weighing its constitutionality.
