Later on Sunday, a late-teen woman shot herself in the entrance of a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department place, according to officials.
The woman’s name has not been made public, and authorities said later on Sunday that it was unclear how she managed to steal the deputy’s tool.
The incident happened around 7: 40 p. m., when the girl started knocking on the front entrance of the prosecutor’s stop at 150 N. Hudson Ave. in City of Industry, according to a news release.
She did not have any weapons, according to officials, but she did cause a ruckus by banging on glass and making noises. When representatives walked to the door, she “lunged into the entrance” and reached for a sheriff’s concealed weapon, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
Finally, the woman reportedly got into” some kind of encounter” with a assistant, took the deputy’s gun and used it to destroy herself, officials said.
She was declared deceased when the Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived at the scene.
Authorities believe the incident may have been caused by a local family disturbance.
No delegates were injured, authorities said. No one else was in the hall at the time at the time, it was unclear.
The event is under investigation.
