The telecommunications big announced this trip that the theft of sensitive info belonging to thousands of AT&, T’s current and former customers had recently been discovered online.
According to AT& T’s announcement on Saturday regarding the data breach, a data found on the “dark web” contains some Social Security numbers and passwords for about 6.6 million current account holders and 65.4 % previous account holders.
Whether the statistics “originated from AT&, T or one of its sellers” is also unknown, the Dallas- based business noted—adding that it had launched an investigation into the event. AT&, T has even begun notifying users whose personal information was compromised….
