Israel Set To Ban Al Jazeera From Broadcasting in Country

Following the passage of a law on Monday that allows leaders to locked down international media networks deemed harmful to Israel’s national security, Israel is set to outlaw Al Jazeera, a state-controlled news outlet in its borders. &nbsp, &nbsp,

Al Jazeera, a criminal channel, will no longer be broadcasting from Israel. I intend to act immediately in accordance with the new law to stop the channel’s activity”, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an X post on Monday, noting the Qatari outlet “harmed Israel’s security, actively participated in the October 7 massacre, and incited ]violence ] against IDF soldiers”.

In accordance with the law, which was passed by the Israeli parliament’s 71- 10 voting, Netanyahu and communications secretary Shlomo Karhi are given temporary authority to stop any international media outlet from operating in Israel if it is alleged that it is putting national security at risk. &nbsp,

One of the government’s proponents, Karhi, stated right away that the Israeli government had locked down Al Jazeera “in the approaching days.” The communications minister called Al Jazeera a” Hamas mouthpiece” and accused the outlet of “using freedom of the press to harm Israel’s security and IDF soldiers” and” ]inciting ] terrorism during a time of war”.

Al Jazeera questioned reports of widespread human murder and sexual assault in its protection of the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on October 7. Additionally, the store has been exposed for reporting on a number of Hamas terrorists. It slowly deleted a story it had been publishing for more than 24 hours that contained fabricated claims that Israeli soldiers raped Arab women at a clinic in Gaza last month, without making any statements.

” We once viewed Al Jazeera as a form of violence in.” Then we’ve seen the data of al Jazeera’s material support to violence, including its own people exposed as Hamas employees”, Rich Goldberg, senior director at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, told National Review. ” Shutting them over in Israel is a little- brainer. The only question I’d question is why the U. S. does n’t have restrictions on this evil- supporting shop, to”.
