Starting today, April 1, a number of other immigration-related fees will start going up as well as the price of requesting a green passport or work visa.

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has made the most significant increase in seven years, not including registration fees, which account for 96 % of the government’s money, compared to various federal agencies. When immigration tosses fell as much as 40 %, leading to lower earnings, the Covid- 19 crisis was particularly bad for the organization.

The organization stated on its site that the payment plan for 2016 no longer covers operating expenses to resolve USCIS immigration and naturalization benefits. To better prevent the formation of upcoming bottlenecks, we need higher costs to cover the cost of conducting business.

Green Card, Fiancé Visa and H- 1B costs approach up

    The cost for applying for a green card is going up more than 17 % from$ 1, 225 to$ 1, 440.

Your prospective employer’s fee to petition for you to be an H-1B has nearly doubled, going from$ 460 to$ 780. Additionally, USCIS is imposing an additional$ 600 per employee for each employee they petition for in addition to the existing Asylum Program Fee. The$ 600 is on top of the$ 780.

But, if your H- 1B appellant is a nonprofit, they are free from the$ 600 Asylum Program Fee. Smaller companies with 25 or fewer full-time employees may receive a reduced$ 300.

You want to appeal for the American citizen you want to marriage to meet you. If you did not report before April 1, 2024, it will cost you more as the value of a K- 1 Fiancé Visa is going up from$ 535 to 675.

    Discount for processing online

Where appropriate you can save yourself$ 50 for filing online, depending on the type. Not all types may be filed electronically. These types can be viewed online.

No transactions on credit cards and other transaction adjustments are permitted.

You are no longer able to dispute or give up a fee if you use your credit card to pay it.

In the past you may file many applications, state for you and your family, and spend using one check. That will no more be the case, according to USCIS. Each program has come with a distinct pay, so you might get yourself writing 10 checks or money orders, depending on your circumstance.

    A dozen costs cuts

USCIS even made the decision to ease some of the strain on some. The cost of biometrics for those seeking Temporary Protected Status ( TPS) will drop by 65 %, from$ 85 to$ 30. Those under 14 who have never paid a biometric payment will now be required to do so.

Initial TPS registration is capped by the statue at$ 50 and will continue to be that way.

The total payment plan can be found at this USCIS hyperlink.
