Starting on April 1, Citizenship and Immigration Services will start charging more for a variety of companies.
The organization made the cost increases public at the end of January, marking the agency’s initial price increase since 2016 for services like green cards, job permits, and other companies.
Employers applying for agrarian work permits have seen the most spectacular increases, rising from$ 460 to practically$ 1,100.
H1B visas, which are required for international workers in software and other specialty fields, are also rising, increasing from$ 460 to$ 780.
A group of companies and card applicants filed a lawsuit against the company earlier this year to prevent the increases. The case was thrown out by a prosecutor who did not revoke their request to delay the April 1 launch date.
