The legal team’s request to have the government’s son’s tax charges dropped was rejected by a federal judge on Monday.  ,
The second father’s legal team’s eight motions were denied by Judge Mark Scarsi on Monday night in an 82-page order, refuting their claims that special counsel David Weiss had brought additional charges against Biden as a result of Republican pressure and that federal prosecutors had unfairly targeted him.  ,
Scarsi said the government’s son has “fail]ed ] to provide a fair assumption, let alone distinct facts, of discriminatory effect and unfair purpose”. The judge added that there has n’t been any proof that the case’s prosecutors are putting pressure on congressional Republicans, noting that” just because someone says they influenced a prosecutorial decision does n’t mean that they did.”
Biden’s legitimate group quickly condemned Scarsi’s decision. We” strongly agree with the Court’s selection” and will continue to actively seek Mr. Biden’s claims that the Special Counsel handled this situation and handled it in an unusual manner,” according to Biden’s lead prosecutor Abbe Lowell.
The government’s child has been charged with nine tax avoidance counts, and he is accused of inflating his company expenses by including his daughter’s education as well as payments to prostitutes and to luxury hotels. He is also accused of failing to file tax returns for three decades.  ,
Scarsi appeared skeptical of the Biden defense’s arguments in a hearing last Wednesday, noting there was” no evidence]from the defense ] that influenced the prosecutors ‘ decision here”. The prosecutor’s claim that politicians played a role in their costs against Biden was denounced by federal prosecutors Derek Hines and Leo Wise, both of whom called it “absolutely absurd” and Wise a “revisionist history.”
