Republikans in the U.S. House of Representatives have introduced legislation to name Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C. after past president Donald J. Trump.
The facility would be renamed the Trump International Airport in the proposed legislation, which was introduced by Congressman and Chief Deputy Whip Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA ). The bill was co- sponsored by Reps. Michael Waltz ( R- FL ), Angy Ogles ( R- TN), Chuck Fleischmann ( R- TN), Paul Gosar ( R- AZ), Barry Moore ( R- AL ), and Troy Nehls ( R- TX ).
Reschenthaler said in a speech to Fox News that “in my life, our society has never been greater than under the administration of President Donald J. Trump.” There is no better symbol of freedom, happiness, and power than hearing” Welcome to Trump International Airport” as they land on British soil, according to the statement from thousands of domestic and international tourists.
The Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia may become known as the” Donald J. Trump International Airport” after the passage of this Act.

” Any reference in any law, regulation, map, document, paper, or other record of the United States to the airport referred to in subsection ( a ) shall be considered to be a reference to the Donald J. Trump International Airport”.
Rep. Moore added in his own notes that renaming the aircraft after President Trump would be done in the same way as when former president Bill Clinton ratified the 1998 legislation establishing the Ronald Reagan International Airport, which was formerly known as the Washington National Airport.
” In 1998, Congress renamed the National Airport in Washington after one of our wonderful president, Ronald Reagan. According to Rep. Moore, it is only appropriate that we would do the same for another of our greatest president, Donald J. Trump, particularly since he opposes the use of a armed authorities to struggle for American like us.
” I can see no more fitting acknowledgment than naming both terminals in our government’s cash after America’s two best president: DCA after President Reagan and Dulles after President Trump”, added Rep. Gosar.
Dulles is ranked 33rd out of 764 U. S. flights in terms of monthly people, according to a 2023 review by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics. Last month, aprox. 25 million people traveled through both domestic and international connectors. Dulles is also the third- largest physical switch, according to the website , Air Advisor.
Rep. Reschenthaler cited “unprecedented win for our state” under President Trump, including document job creation, small unemployment, low prices, and a safe southern border.
