At least seven employees from World Central Kitchen, a charitable institution founded and run by famous restaurant Jose Andres, were killed in the helicopter strike on Monday.
On Tuesday at the White House, Jean-Pierre and National Security Council spokesman John Kirby gave briefings to investigators and opened their remarks by sharing information about the attack.
The president called the restaurateur Jose Andres to convey that he is heartbroken by the news of the airstrike that claimed the lives of seven or eight workers, and to communicate and express his sincere condolences, according to Jean-Pierre. The chairman said he was grieving with the entire World Central Kitchen community. The leader felt it was crucial to acknowledge the significant factor that World Central Kitchen has made to the people of Gaza and all over the world.
Kirby called for a thorough research into the invasion and the release of the findings, saying the White House was “devastated” by the hit. Moreover, he noted that the overall number of Americans killed in the attack is still undetermined, as the death count may be raised in the coming weeks. At least one National with two membership has been identified as one of the deceased.

Kirby refrained from claiming that Israel did not intentionally hit the WCK caravan, as the Israel Defense Forces have claimed, and that doing so violated international law. The publish- Oct. 7 battle has resulted in the deaths of more than 200 support staff.
