Police in Michigan told original President Donald Trump,’ We need aid,’ as a group representing 12, 000 officials nationwide endorsed his election.
GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan — Former president Donald Trump declared in a statement here on Tuesday that the immigration laws of President Joe Biden are” state wrecking” due to the number of unlawful immigrants entering the country and committing crimes.
” This is nation- changing, it’s nation- menacing, and it’s nation- wrecking”, President Trump told some hundred invited guests at the Grand Rapids Convention Center. ” They have wrecked our country. But I stand before you now to consider that Joe Biden’s borders disaster… it’s going to end on the day that I take business”.
As President Trump attributed a flood of fatalities, violent acts, and fatal drug overdoses to illegal immigrants, dozens of police officers sat alongside him as he blasted President Biden’s “open frontier” policies.
Immigration has emerged as the leading problem as President Trump, the presumed Republican candidate, prepares to face off against President Biden, the obvious Democrat candidate, in the Nov. 5 public vote.
The Biden administration reiterated its criticism of Congress for failing to take more steps to improve border protection after being asked to respond to President Trump’s anticipated notes by Michigan Democrats.
Both parties claimed that President Trump had politicized tragedies like the latest tragic death of 25-year-old Ruby Garcia, who a originally deported Mexican federal is accused of killing in Grand Rapids.
But three officers officials took to the floor to back up President Trump’s claims. Each person outlined how severely illegal immigration is affecting law police and people. They claimed that as a result of this, a tradition of violence is developing. And all three of them said they needed President Trump’s assistance, and they lacked confidence in his ability to bring order to the frontier.
‘ We Need You’
The Police Officer Association of Michigan, which represents 12, 000 officials overall, endorsed President Trump for the next day, the group’s leader, James Tignanelli, announced.
He claimed that all types of thieves are encouraged when they are given special treatment for illegal immigrants.
When millions of people are given bonuses for disobeying the law, “why do you expect people to accept it?” he said.
Mr. Tignanelli said police officials are demoralized because they are under increasing pressure, lack of respect, and the growing number of illegal immigrants who commit crimes. He often turned to President Trump as he spoke.
” We need a commander- in- chief that may give them only plain expected process…. They just need to know they’ve got something behind them”, he said, adding,” we need you”, pointing at the previous leader.
Another speech, Van Buren County Sheriff Daniel Abbott, cited two figures that made the audience gasp.
In his state of 76, 000 people, officials are witnessing two methadone overdose incidents per month, he said. From Mexico, a sizable amount of that medication is imported into the United States.
” It’s killing our kids, it’s poisoning our societies, it’s making the job of law enforcement professionals much more hard”, Mr. Abbott said.
He added that ten percent of the suspects in his state’s prisons are from Guatemala and Mexico, and that many of them are accused of “violent intercourse offences” committed against both adults and children.
If those are the figures his region alone is seeing, the judge asked people to visualize what the national totals for immigrant arrestees and fentanyl deaths may look like.
” The empty southern border is the spirit of violence and murder you’re witnessing. We need national-level authority that is ready to address this crisis, according to Mr. Abbott. ” President Trump, without a doubt, is the chief we need to get the job done”.
Sheriff of Allegan County Frank Baker said,” We need assistance because we have a crisis on our hands.” And securing our borders will be a big portion of that assistance. The Texas- Mexico boundary is 1, 283 yards apart from Grand Rapids, where President Trump was speaking.
The borders is also quite a distance apart from Allegan County, Mr. Baker said. However,” there’s never a time goes by, it’s no impacting what goes on in our county”.
Homicide Victims Remembered
In advance of President Trump’s notes, his campaign team handed out a press message highlighting a few kidnappings that illegal immigrants have been accused of committing during the Biden administration, across various claims, Ms. Garcia’s crime was the latest. Each homicide victim and the circumstances surrounding each death were included in the package.
During a separate interview with White House reporters, John Kirby, a top Biden national security aide, said he was unaware of Ms. Garcia’s specific case.
However, Mr. Kirby expressed condolences to her family and said the administration would “certainly defer to local law enforcement and investigative bodies to do the… spade work that needs to be done… and hold the perpetrators accountable for that.”
Why do n’t we let the legal process unfold here before making grandiose bumper-stickers about what this means for the border, they ask? Mr. Kirby said.
President Trump, during his remarks, said the suspect in Ms. Garcia’s killing, Brandon Ortiz- Vite, had been deported under his administration, when tightened immigration restrictions made it “very, very hard” for deported illegal immigrants to return.
However, President Trump claimed that Mr. Ortiz-Vite’s policies made it simple for him to return. And he was accused of shooting Ms. Garcia “multiple times with an illegally obtained handgun,” the former president said.” And he was set loose roaming our streets.”
President Trump also touched on Laken Riley’s murder in Georgia, stating:” The 22-year-old nursing student in Georgia who was brutally murdered by an illegal alien animal. The Democrats say,’ Please do n’t call them animals. They’re humans.’ I said no, they’re not humans. They’re animals”.
Burglaries, Robberies Too
Additionally, according to President Trump’s campaign, Michiganns are impacted by other crimes brought on by illegal immigrants.
There have been reports of criminal gangs from central and south America “targeting high- end homes in Oakland County, Michigan, to commit burglaries”, the campaign news release said. And four illegal immigrants were charged with “multiple smash- and- grab robberies” at a mall in Troy, Michigan.
According to the news release, these instances demonstrate that” Democrats in Michigan are failing to protect Americans from the illegal immigrants and drugs pouring across our southern border.” Democrats have also” created sanctuary areas” in several communities in the state. Further, the state is offering a$ 500 monthly payment to people who agree to house “newcomers” in their homes.
The campaign claimed that “illegal immigrants are victimizing Americans across the state by using Biden’s immigration system.”
In response to those assertions, the Michigan Democratic Party sent a news release to The Epoch Times, in which it claimed that the visit was intended to “increase fear and chaos based on lie after lie about immigrants and the border.”
The state Democratic Party chair, Lavora Barnes, released the following statement:
” Downton Trump is coming here to politicize a tragic loss and lie to Michiganders ‘ faces about his record,” the truth is. Trump’s MAGA cronies were the ones who pressed his to end the border security deal when President Biden reached a difficult, fair, and bipartisan deal, which allowed the chaos to continue.
Donald Trump has no interest in being a part of the solution because he does n’t care about border security, regardless of what he says today. Michiganders are aware of the truth that Donald Trump has nothing to offer but dangerous rhetoric that encourages hate, division, and violence without making anyone safer. He only cares about himself and whatever he thinks makes him look good.
