WATCH: Legal Expert Gives Trump Great News In ‘Weak’ NYC Case

Judge Juan Merchan announced last week that Donald Trump’s event involving hush money will start on April 15. Trump has entered a not-guilty plea to the extensive research of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

The event, which has garnered considerable interest, involves 34 counts of falsifying business documents related to a$ 130, 000 pay to previous adult film actress Stormy Daniels. Despite her alleged silence regarding an alleged adulterous affair with Trump, the payment was made prior to the 2016 election.

Legitimate analyst Jonathan Turley detailed the constitutional difficulties that former Trump faces in a Fox News interview on Wednesday.

Turley, a professor of constitutional law at George Washington University, offered his view on the complexity of the case, including how the Trump legal team tried to get the prosecutor who was in charge of the hush money trial to be cleared.

Trump’s team has argued that his daughter’s work at a social consulting firm with Democrat users may affect the judge’s fairness.

Trump’s attorneys contend that the situation has implications beyond the court, potentially affecting Trump’s ability to run his plan, and that there is” an intolerable risk that the court’s family relationships may affect judicial conduct.”

” It should n’t be hashed out in social media”, Turley explained. ” Lawyers all the time raise not just problems, but the appearance of issues. Some involve community people. In fact, some people on the left have much criticized Supreme Court justices for their actions and interactions with their relatives.

” But with two days left, moving the court may perhaps be simpler than moving the judge in this case. And the cause is that they are very anxious, unless you have something very clear and sort of unassailable”, said Turley.

The allegations of hush money payments against Trump are the focus of the case involving Karen McDougal and Stormy Daniels, who both claimed to have had affairs with him.

Trump has denied these affairs. The payments were made before the 2016 presidential election, ostensibly to prevent the women’s allegations from becoming public and potentially affecting the election’s outcome.

Turley argued that the Trump case, which he termed “very weak,” serves as an illustration of how political proceedings can be manipulated.

Turley argued that such actions could” not be worse for our country” because of the negative effects of gag orders and other judicial measures that might affect the outcome of the election.

” I think these judges have gone too far with some of these orders”, said Turley.

Michael Cohen, Trump’s former lawyer, pleaded guilty in 2018 to charges including campaign finance violations related to the hush money payments. Cohen claimed that he arranged payments to the women at Trump’s direction. Cohen claimed that he was acting in order to support Trump’s candidacy and was later given a three-year prison sentence.

Whether these payments constituted illegal campaign contributions is one of the legal issues. In the course of a larger investigation into Russian election interference, federal prosecutors in Manhattan initially looked into the payments. However, Trump was not charged with any crime as part of that investigation.
