Republicans Praise Wisconsin’s New Anti-‘Zuckerbucks’ Measures

The Democratic Party of Wisconsin remains motionless on the amendments, which they oppose.

The Republican National Committee ( RNC ) applauded the passage of two bills that would outlaw non-electoral officials from Wisconsin elections.

The head of the RNC, Michael Whatley, said,” This victory emphasizes that Americans support standard election integrity protection in battleground state like Wisconsin and around the country.

He was past President Donald J. Trump’s choose to lead the organization.

The two bills may alter Wisconsin’s state constitution, which is shaping up to be one of the most crucial state for the 2024 presidential vote.

One may “provide that personal funds and offers may not be applied for, accepted, expended, or used in relation with the conduct of any principal, election, or referendum”.

The second is intended to ensure that votes, referenda, and elections are supervised by “only vote officers designated by law”.

Democratic state representatives, including those in the Wisconsin State Assembly and the Wisconsin State Senate, were typically supportive of both elections.

The legislature “voted last year to complete two shared resolutions in the area of election integrity.” As voters head to the elections this flower, they will have the opportunity to enact these guidelines into the Wisconsin Constitution”, State Sen. Duey Stroebel, a Republican, wrote on X, previously Online, on March 28, ahead of the April 2 vote.

Their Democratic rivals faced widespread opposition.

” As Wisconsinites mind to ballot this election, they’ll see legal issues on election money. Because our poll workers and clerks deserve the resources to help every voter, I voted Little when these issues were brought to the floor. This place conspiracy theories to rest”, Rep. Greta Neubauer, standing Democrat in the Assembly, wrote on X on March 25.

Concerns over exterior money in elections, especially in Wisconsin, grew in piece out of the 2020 presidential vote. More than$ 400 million was also raised by Facebook billionaire Mark Zuckerberg’s foundation, which President Joe Biden blatantly claimed in the spring of that year, and more than$ 10 million in Wisconsin.

While COVID- 19’s supporters of the measures argued that the cash was the solution to closing the funding gap in elections management, opponents like the traditional Foundation for Government Accountability argued that the group’s” Zuckerbucks” disproportionately targeted Democrat strongholds in Wisconsin.

In his speech regarding the findings, Mr. Whatley said that” Wisconsin voters have made it evident that they do not need dark-money interests or Zuckerbucks to have an impact on their local elections.

According to the RNC, their election integrity group “filed 1100 election observer shifts across the state to ensure accountability at the elections for the election on Issues 1 and 2.”

RNC lawyers were even mentioned in the speech as being in an “election morality war room” keeping an eye on and fixing reported issues with voters at the polls.

The Wisconsin Elections Commission’s spokesperson told The Epoch Times that the RNC was “best positioned to speak to” how many swings they filed.

Additionally, the outcome was praised in a statement from the Republican Party of Wisconsin ( RPW).

” Wisconsin has spoken and the message is clear: votes belong to voters, no out- of- position entrepreneurs. Wisconsinis have turned the page on Zuckerbucks and prevented our votes from black money donors, according to Wisconsin Republican Party Chair Brian Schimming, thanks to grass organizing and the Republican Party of Wisconsin.

The Democratic Party of Wisconsin’s statement regarding the April 2 major election did not mention the passing of the constitutional amendments.

The group has reached out to The Epoch Times for opinion.

President Trump also endorsed the steps at his April 2 march in Green Bay, just before the primary election was over.

” Make sure you vote” Yes” on the first and second ballot issues. You are aware of that. That’s restrictions Zuckerbucks. Ban Zuckerbucks”, he said to applause from the crowd.
