According to allegations, the district attorney for Fulton County, Fani Willis, who represents one of the plaintiffs in Willis ‘ RICO event, unlawfully recorded a phone call between her and a defendant’s attorney.
In an appointment with constitutional researcher Phil Holloway, lawyer Christopher Kachouroff, who is representing Trump co- accused Harrison Floyd, alleges that Willis recorded a phone call between her and one of Kachouroff’s Maryland- based colleagues. They were unaware that the tracking was being made.
Floyd, who founded an institution called Black Voices for Trump, is one of 16 remaining co- accused in the case.
She reached out to one of my Maryland acquaintances, and he called me and we were both talking about the Maryland situation, and I was discussing the Georgia case, and she ended up recording him, according to Kachouroff.
The Maryland’s Wiretap Act, which forbids recording private conversations without the consent of both parties, is a crime punishable by up to five years in prison and fines of up to$ 10,000, would be a violation. The legislation is unique in Georgia, which is a one- group acceptance state.
Floyd is attempting to include his trial moved to outside Coffee County, where he was the only Trump co-defendant to be imprisoned in Fulton County following his indictment. Floyd’s lawyers have argued that because of Willis ‘ actions, he may have a good test in Fulton County.
Floyd demanded on Thursday night that Willis recuse herself from the event by Friday. ” I may have no other option than to do all constitutional solutions”, he wrote.
Throughout the course of the case, Willis has been the subject of a slew of claims of wrongdoing. It became widely known that Willis was having an illicit relationship with Nathan Wade, who received$ 300,000 for his work as a special counsel in the Trump event, at the most recent dismissal hearing brought forth by former Georgia Republican Party chair David Shafer.
While both Wade and Willis , testified , that their marriage began after he was hired to work on the situation, a former department worker testified that the marriage began as far back as 2021.
Although Judge Scott McAffee of the Fulton County Superior Court chose to not completely preclude Willis, he has reopened the case for data at a later time.
