According to authorities, a 34-year-old man is accused of making racist remarks toward medical staff and threatening to blow up Tufts Medical Center.
Graham Abraham, a Hanover resident, has been detained and charged in connection with calling up the Boston doctor and making a bomb risk.
A Tufts Medical staff member reported to Tufts Public Safety on February 2 that a former client, later identified as Abraham, called the doctor and made racist notes along with complaints about his expertise to Tufts Public Safety soldiers.
Finally about 30 days afterwards, another employee reported that Abraham said,” Everyone is going to die.”
Officers reportedly reviewed the audio from the recorded phone line, and heard Abraham make threats and racist slurs such as:” All ( expletive ) in your ( expletive ) vomit hospital must die. ( Inaudible ) ready to bomb and blow up your hospital. Got guns and knives kill all ( expletive ). All ( expletive ) must die. ( Expletive ) roaches and scum of the earth. All ( expletive ) must be slaughtered and killed”.
Abraham apparently made many enquiries to Tufts between Jan. 15 and Feb. 2, all with similar challenges.
Police departments, including Transit and Amtrak authorities, are familiar with Abraham and his repeated calls. Amtrak received 78 names from Abraham in January, including troubling statements and bomb challenges. Abraham has been prohibited from all Amtrak facilities and issued a breach purchase.
Abraham is not permitted to purchase a weapons because he has even been detained by the ATF.
” We must get all kinds of dangers seriously”, Suffolk DA Kevin Hayden said in a statement. Finding a balance between a person’s mental health requirements and the government’s right to be safe and protected in all configurations is what law enforcement must do.
This accused has reportedly threatened and made ominous claims to people and organizations that have tried to assist him in some way, Hayden continued. Because it is obvious that legal action is necessary to avoid possible public harm, we are moving forward with this.
Abraham is facing severe common concern related to a bomb/hijack threat.
Judge Mark Summerville ordered Abraham held on$ 5, 000 loan, and to stay away from Tufts Medical Center. After an examination by a jury doctor, mental health services for Abraham were suggested.
In relation to two distinct instances, Abraham is also facing charges of assault and disorderly conduct in BMC Central and risk to commit a murder. He’s scheduled to return to judge on April 3 for all three scenarios.
