Musk Says Reuters ‘Lying’ After It Reports Tesla Scrapped Low-Cost EV Project

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and businessman buyer, has refuted reports Reuters that the electric car manufacturer has abandoned plans to create new low-cost models.
Three unidentified officials who were “familiar with the subject” and allegedly corporate messages were cited by Reuters ‘ second report on Friday that Tesla had abandoned its multi-year plan to introduce a series of entry-level vehicles, the Tesla Model 2, to the market.
Initially, Tesla’s new range of cars would have cost about$ 25, 000. Tesla’s present cheapest offering, the Model 3 sedan, now goes for about$ 39, 000. According to Reuters, Tesla decided to ditch its Model 2 programs and rather chose to concentrate on creating self-driving robots.
