U. S. Vice President Kamala Harris offered a “history training” Thursday to explain the recent rise of recognition in women’s college basketball.
The only trouble? Her “history” is very, very bad.
In a discussion with Spectrum News ‘ Tim Boyum, Harris vociferously and boldly claimed that women’s basketball was gaining popularity because in the history, the women’s game did n’t had bracket.
Do you know? Okay, a bit of a past lessons. Do you know that until 2022, women’s clubs were not permitted to possess brackets? Consider about that. And what? That. Speak about development. You are aware that improvement and what that has done are better late than never. Because, of course, when, you know, I had a bracket and it’s not broken completely, but I wo n’t talk about my bracket. But you know, really how we love, we love March Madness. And perhaps just then allowing the women to have brackets and what that does to motivate people to talk more about the women’s teams, to see them, then they’re being covered, you know, and, and this is the fact people used to say are women’s sports. Oh? It’s more like, oof. Harris did not only fabricate a bracket in 2021, but she also filled out a women’s college basketball bracket in 2021:” Not only is it historically incorrect to say that women’s college basketball only started using brackets in 2022.”

The NCAA women’s college basketball tournament has used brackets for a while, but the real “history” is here. The March Madness copyright, which was introduced last year, is what is new.
As Mediaite reports,” Mediaite reached out to the Vice President’s office for clarification and was told that Harris did, in fact, misspeak and that she meant to say that the use of the” March Madness” copyright was only , made available , to the women’s tournament last year”.
Of course, that’s not what she said! She said brackets, not March Madness. Nonetheless, at least now we know she did n’t fill out her bracket in 2021.
